Caledonian Canal Tour
This May and October we will take on the beautiful waterways of the Great Glen! The canal runs through some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Depending on the weather, we will start at Fort William in the Atlantic Sea, making our way through the gentle flat water at the foot of Ben Nevis to the eery silent Loch Lochy. Staying the night in Fort Augustus at the western end of Loch Ness we will enjoy fine Scottish fare. The next day we will go on the hunt for Nessy rowing down the deepest Loch/Lake in Britain before finally arriving at Inverness in the evening.
The Canal is 64 miles/100km long and we will intend to do the trip over 3 days (approx. 23 miles/day). Crews can swap throughout the day.
